About Me

My photo
Wendy Rhodes
Gloucestershire
Following a degree in Graphic Design (BA Hons) I have worked as a freelance illustrator, a packaging designer and a fine artist. I am now a teacher of Fine Art and Graphic Communication within Secondary Education; a rewarding an inspiring career which feeds my own creativity. I have recently completed an MA Multi-disciplinary Printmaking course at UWE, Bristol. More recent posts will share the process of developing imagery and opportunities towards an independent creative career. The challenge of bringing drawing into print is an exciting process which is fast developing my work and broadening my practice. The subject matter of my current practice is the rural lanes, footpaths and landscape features of my daily dog walks. My drawing is representational, it is important that the viewer of the work can relate to a specific place through the drawing.
